Social Media & Content Creator Intern (Bangkok Design Week)

Location: Bangkok Old Town
Duration: Mid December 2025  – February 2026

About the Role

Join The Roots Routes’ creative and marketing team to document and share our journey through Bangkok Design Week 2026. You’ll capture behind-the-scenes stories, local experiences, and the atmosphere of our three cultural projects, transforming them into engaging content across social media platforms. 

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys storytelling through visuals and words, someone who can see beauty in everyday moments, translate cultural experiences into creative media, and connect with audiences through an authentic, human lens.

Responsibilities

  • Create and edit visual and written content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn etc.).

  • Capture photos and videos of The Roots Routes’ projects, workshops, and local collaborations.

  • Assist in content planning, caption writing, and community engagement.

  • Work with designers and the research team to ensure storytelling and visuals align.

  • Support live coverage and content documentation during Bangkok Design Week.

What You’ll Learn

  • How to tell stories through visual media in the context of cultural tourism.

  • Experience in content creation, photography, and short-form video storytelling.

  • How to plan, publish, and measure impactful social media content.

  • Collaboration with designers, researchers, and local creatives.

Note: This is an unpaid internship opportunity

Requirements

  • Passionate about videography, photography, and design.

  • Skilled in basic editing tools (Canva, CapCut, or similar).

  • Strong sense of aesthetics and tone in both visual and written communication.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, event-based environments.

  • Interest in culture, tourism, or creative community projects.
